A leader, looked up-to by majority of the citizens of a democratic country(since he is part of the ruling government), in the middle of a pandemic, after a day which saw the biggest hike in the number of coronavirus cases in the country, gives an 11 min speech, early in the morning when most of us with their messed up sleep cycle have woken up in anticipation of what our PM is going to speak, and when he finally does speak, almost 5 minutes into his gig and no-one understood anything what he was going on and on about. By the end of that video, we basically got another task to light up Diyas And Torchlight, and this time even the reason behind this ask was not so clear to anybody. There are plethora of creative memes and jokes online, mocking our PM and the task he has now assigned to us.
It is beyond my ability to fathom the courage of the Big Boss(Our Prime Minister) to come to a platform to speak to 1.3 Crore people, thrice in a span of a month and not utter a word about Tests (conducted to find Covid-19 positive patients). Not once did he tell us about the expected figures, or any plans to increase the meager number of tests happening or measures taken to cope with the situation. Nothing. Zilch.
On a very lighter note(because i think this blog has become too intense), it is for the girls out there — Isn’t roaming bra-less in your homes, for straight 21 days frigging amazing? We might have lost our freedom, but those two have definitely won theirs in this lockdown. I just thought it was worth mentioning, so i did. Lately i’m not getting much time to read and instead the screen-time has insanely spiked up. I open the covid-19 data page as many times as i open my Instagram app. Crazy times to be in fellas. Mind-boggling. A pro tip here — If you feel subdued in one of these days, just Youtube a couple of videos of Trump doing a press conference/interview or watch Seth Meyer’s videos of mocking Trump, you’ll sure as hell feel better. I guarantee you. Seth Myers is the master mimicker of Trump. Easily. Stay home. Stay healthy.
